Acrylic paint - its binder is polyacrylic resins, in which pigment particles are suspended. Used in printing, construction and painting. In artistic applications, they can be applied either thickly, like oil paints, or thinly, in transparent layers (lasered). They do not have as large a colour range as oil paints or tempera paints. In addition to pigment, they can also contain gum arabic and other substances that alter viscosity and the speed of drying.
UV paints contain pigments based on chemical compounds that exhibit luminescence, which glow in the dark, semi-dark or when illuminated with an ultra-violet lamp. The use of UV paints gives a surprising artistic effect and makes the painting look completely different in different lighting conditions.
Oil paints - a type of slow-drying paint of paste or liquid consistency in which the pigment particles are suspended in a carrier, oil, usually vegetable. Linseed oil, walnut oil, poppy oil and safflower oil are usually used for oil paints. In order to accelerate the drying of oil paints, siccatives are added to them.
