Acrylic paint – its binder is polyacrylic resins, in which pigment particles are suspended. Used in printing, construction and painting. In artistic applications, they can be applied either thickly, like oil paints, or thinly, in transparent layers (lasered). They do not have as large a colour range as oil paints or tempera paints. In addition to pigment, they can also contain gum arabic and other substances that alter viscosity and the speed of drying.
